Biography

Paul de Flers was born in Paris in 1988. He graduated in Law and History of Art. He has been living in Italy since 2013 and from then took part to several solo and collective exhibitons. He has been collaborating with private and public institutions such as l’Institut français of Milan, the Santa Maria della Scala Museum in Siena, the Alliance Française of Fortaleza in Brasil and the Luigi Pecci Centre for contemporary art in Prato. He lives and works in Turin since last year.
He constantly tries new medium and materials (pure pigments, gesso, oil and acrylic painting), maintaining a figurative line. He balances figures by using abstracts backgrounds that alter the delineations of the subjects.
Architecture, water, landscapes and wait are recurrent themes in his work.
