CRAG Gallery presents the first photographic exhibition of Mattia Novello in the solo show entitled “Morfologia dello spazio – Photographs from 2008 to 2016”.

Mattia Novello (Thiene, 1985), an eclectic and sophisticated artist, studied between Milan and New York. He was a finalist of the Cairo Prize and of the Art Prize CBM, and he collaborates with CRAG Gallery, which has decided to exhibit the photo shoots that the artist has taken during the different and fruitful journeys around the world, especially in the United States, China, Japan, Spain and Italy.

Novello’s work, not only the photographic one, is characterised by an approach free from any prejudice and conformism. The artist is an extremely curious observer who finds inspiration both from the single details of daily life and from the great “obstacles” such as skyscrapers and urban structures.

With irony, he tries to deduce the universality of places and situations through the lens, freeing them and ourselves from a utilitarian and domesticated approach.

In the exhibition the series of skyscrapers Forma cittadina and Pareti Urbane will be supported by two videos that will accompany the visitors throughout the exhibition, showing the human and geographical experience of the artist.
